Video Development System

The iVeia Titan Video Development Kit provides a platform on which video or similar applications for the Titan Processing Module may be developed. The Titan Processing Module is ideal for video applications since the complex video co-processing occurs on the same chip using the combined processing elements of an FPGA and a PowerPC processor.

iVeia's Titan Processing Module is a small form-factor processing module that combines the processing power of a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), a Digital Signal Processor (DSP), and a General Purpose Processor (GPP) into a single device. The Titan Video Development Kit contains all of the necessary equipment to begin developing applications on the Titan Processing Module.

The Development Kit contains an enclosure (the Development System) that houses the Titan Processing Module and a GigaFlex I/O Module. The GigaFlex I/O Module connects high speed Camera Link to the Titan Processing Module so that high-definition image digital data may be processed by the module.

Features

The Development Kit has the following features:

  • A complete Titan board set including the iVeia Titan Processing Module, GigaFlex CL2, and μBackplane.
  • A Titan Processing Module with on-board Xilinx® Virtex™ FPGA.
  • A GigaFlex I/O Module supporting Camera Link
  • A μBackplane with power, USB 2.0, 10/100/1G Ethernet, and UART connections.
  • An external microSD FLASH memory card slot from which the FPGA and software may be loaded.
  • An easy-to-use Development System enclosure made of clear material that allows the user to easily identify components, visualize the physical module stack-up, and observe debugging LEDs
  • A cable kit that includes cables for each connection to the Development System.
  • A 5V/4A power transformer for powering the Development System.
